JERUSALEM, PALESTINOW.COM — Hundreds of Israeli settlers on Tuesday morning forced their way into al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Israeli police.

Jerusalem’s Islamic Awqaf Department told Quds Press that 121 settlers in the morning broke into the Mosque via al-Maghareba Gate and roamed its courtyards while escorted by Israeli police officers.

Quds Press reported that some settlers performed Talmudic rituals near al-Rahma Gate and the Dome of the Rock.

Settler break-ins into al-Aqsa Mosque are carried out on a daily basis except Saturdays and Fridays.

Based on official reports, about 2,400 Israeli settlers broke into al-Aqsa Mosque during August 2018. (PIC)
