RAMALLAH, PALESTINOW.COM — Jewish settlers on Wednesday wreaked havoc on an olive grove in Turmus Ayya town in northern Ramallah, destroying dozens of fruitful trees.

Turmus Ayya mayor Rasmi Shahada said that about 40 olive trees in al-Dahirat area were either uprooted or damaged by settlers, adding that the grove belongs to a local farmer called Mahmoud al-Araj.

Shahada warned that the Jewish settlers in the West Bank would escalate their attacks on olive trees during the current harvest season.
