PALESTINOW.COM — The long-standing British policy on the Palestine-Israel conflict is to reach the goal of creating a two-state solution.
With Israel passing a law which essentially legalises settlements in the West Bank just weeks after the UN adopted a resolution calling on Israel to halt settlements, many are starting to argue that hopes for achieving this two-state solution are actively diminishing.
On the 9 February 2017, UK parliamentarians are to debate the motion that Parliament “reaffirms its support” for a two-state solution and acts on UN Security Council Resolution 2334, which would see Israel hit with sanctions for it’s illegal settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
The live blog of the parliamentary debate will begin around 10am GMT on 9 February 2017. (MEMO)
