JAKARTA, PALESTINOW.COM — The Indonesian Government yesterday condemned the injury of the main preacher at Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Akrama Sabri, by rubber bullets fired by the Israeli occupation forces.
At a press conference, Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Armanatha Nasser, said the Government was concerned about the current situation in Al-Aqsa Mosque.

“We condemn the Israeli police’s injuring of the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Akrama Sabri.”
He called on Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states and Middle Eastern countries to put pressure on Israel to provide security and stability in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Meanwhile, Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi held a call with her Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi to discuss the latest developments in the city of Jerusalem.
Protests were held in Indonesia today in support of Palestinians and against the Israeli restrictions on the entry of Muslims to the mosque.
