More than 80 Palestinian Islamic Jihad prisoners protest in Israel’s Ktzi’ot prison

More than 80 Palestinian Islamic Jihad inmates protest in Israel’s Ktzi’ot Prison in protest at the punitive and repressive measures taken by the Israeli prison administration following the Gilboa prison break.
Palestinian inmates at Ktzi’ot Prison have demanded that the prison situation be returned to what it was before the restrictions were introduced after six Palestinian inmates freed themselves from Gilboa Prison earlier this month.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad warned Israel Prison Service against suppressing the protest and said it held “Israel” responsible for any damage to the detainees.

US House Approves $1 Billion for Israel’s Iron Dome Defense System

The US House of Representatives on Thursday passed a stand-alone bill to provide $1 billion to “Israel” to supplement its Iron Dome missile defense system, just two days after funding was removed from a final House bill to prevent a government shut down.
The measure attracted 420 members who voted in favor of the bill and nine against.
The bill now goes to the Senate, which must also approve it.
Some of the most liberal House Democrats had objected to the provision, saying they would vote against the broad spending bill if it were passed.

Israeli soldiers kidnap eight Palestinians in West Bank

Israeli soldiers abducted eight Palestinians at dawn on Friday, including two former political prisoners and a woman, from their homes in various parts of the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has reported.
The PPS office in Jenin, in the north of the West Bank, said the soldiers invaded Qabatia City, south of Jenin, ransacked houses and kidnapped a former political prisoner identified as Ali Taiser Zakarna.
In Tubas, in the northeast of the West Bank, the soldiers raided the city of Aqaba, north of the city, and kidnapped Ahmad Khaled Abu Hamad, 29, from his home.

Soldiers kidnap a former political prisoner in Jerusalem

Israeli soldiers on Thursday abducted a former political prisoner from his home in the city of al-‘Issawiya, in occupied Jerusalem.
Local sources said dozens of soldiers invaded the city before surrounding and raiding Midhat al-Isawi’s house.
They added that the soldiers searched the premises and kidnapped the former political prisoner before transferring him to an interrogation center in Jerusalem.
It is worth noting that Midhat is a former political prisoner who was repeatedly kidnapped and imprisoned by Israel, and spent several years in captivity.

Israeli soldiers halt road repair, seize bulldozer, near Nablus

Israeli soldiers on Thursday raided the village of al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and stopped the road repair, in addition to impounding a bulldozer.
The mayor of al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya, Ya’coub ‘Oweis, said the soldiers attacked workers and pointed their guns at them before seizing a bulldozer.
He added that workers were repairing the road as part of a project started by the village council a month ago.
Oweiss stated that the last town where the road was repaired and paved in the year 2005 was without any hindrance from the Israeli military.

Soldiers wound several Palestinians in Ramallah

Israeli soldiers raided the at-Tira neighborhood of the central West Bank city of Ramallah on Thursday evening, wounding several Palestinians during the ensuing protests.
Local sources said the invasion came from the village of Ein Qiniya, northwest of Ramallah.
They added that the invasion was carried out by the soldiers to accompany many illegal Israeli settlers to an archaeological area in the village.
The soldiers fired many gas bombs and concussion grenades, causing several Palestinians, including those in their homes, to suffer the effects of inhaling tear gas.

Israeli settlers invade village near Hebron

A large group of illegal Israeli settlers raided the village of Birin, east of Yatta, south of the southern West Bank town of Nablus, on Thursday night, before attacking their home and insulting the families.
Fuad al-Amour, the coordinator of the Protection & Steadfastness Committees in Masafer Yatta, stated that the attack was carried out by dozens of settlers, adding that Israeli soldiers were also deployed at the main gate of the village.
He said the attackers gathered in front of the local village council and tried to raid houses while chanting racist slogans.

IOF arrests and attacks 10-year-old Palestinian boy in Hebron

On Thursday, Israeli troops detained a 10-year-old Palestinian child in the occupied West Bank.
According to his uncle, Ziya al-Haddad, Ismail en-Nicce was violently beaten before being taken to a detention center.
In the old city of Hebron, where the incident took place, “children live in an atmosphere of fear, filled with fear every day, and are subjected to punishment by the occupying forces,” he said.
He went on to say that his cousin was imprisoned for three hours.Many Palestinians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, including women and children, are sometimes held by Israeli soldiers and held in detention camps for days.
