GAZA, PALESTINOW.COM — An Israeli occupation soldier was shot dead Friday by Palestinian resistance on the Gaza border, the Israeli occupation army said in a statement.
“Today a soldier was killed during operational activity near the southern Gaza Strip. A resistance shot at IOF troops and the IOF soldier was severely injured. He later succumbed to his wounds,” the army said in a statement.
The Zionist military’s aircraft and tanks hit a number of targets in the Gaza Strip earlier on Friday during Gaza protest at the border. Israeli occupation used tanks and aviation to target positions of the Hamas Palestinian movement across the Gaza Strip.
Gaza Strip Healthcare Ministry reported about four victims of the Zionist brutal attacks. Following the outbreak of violence, as the response three rockets were launched from the Gaza Strip targeting Zionist territories, according to IOF. Two of them were intercepted by the iron dome.
Hostilities between the Zionists and the Palestinians near the Gaza border increased since 30 March, which marked the beginning of the Palestinian protest campaign against Israeli illegal blockade — the Great March of Return.
