GAZA, PALESTINOW.COM — One Israeli died and 50 others were reportedly injured by rocket fire from Gaza Strip in response to the launch of scores of air raids into the blockaded Strip.

The Joint Chamber of the Palestinian resistance factions declared that dozens of rockets were fired into southern Israel in response to the Israeli killing of seven Palestinians, including a senior Hamas commander, late on Sunday south of Gaza.

Yediot Ahranot claimed that over 200 rockets were fired into southern Israel within a span of two hours Monday evening.

At least three people were injured in the latest barrage; buildings were damaged as well, according to the source.

Israeli settlers were instructed to stay close to shelters and protected areas.
