BETHLEHEM, PALESTINOW.COM — The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday afternoon cold-bloodedly shot dead a Palestinian young man on allegations of his attempt to carry out a stabbing attack in southern Bethlehem.
According to the Hebrew media, the young man was shot dead by soldiers at a checkpoint near the Gush Etzion settlement bloc in southern Bethlehem.
The IOF justified the killing of the young man by claiming he was wielding an axe and refused to comply with shouts from the soldiers ordering him to stop.
The IOF also claimed there was another young man with him, but he managed to flee the area.
Local sources identified the slain young man as Ahed Akhlil from Beit Ummar town in northern al-Khalil.
