Jihad Movement warns Israel over Adhan ban in Al-Quds

GAZA, PALESTINOW.COM — Jihad Movement warned Thursday the Israeli authorities of banning Adhan (the Muslim call to prayer) within the Green Line and occupied Jerusalem.

The leader in the Movement Walid al-Mudalal said, during a protest vigil organized by the group in Gaza Strip against Israeli Knesset’s first vote on a bill banning the use of loudspeakers for the Adhan, that Palestinian resistance will not stop idly towards such a decision.

Al-Mudalal warned that this Israeli decision clearly targets Islam. “We will not allow such a decision to pass whatever is the cost”, he said.

Earlier Wednesday, the Israeli Knesset approved a preliminary reading of the controversial bill which seeks to impose limits on the Muslim call to prayer within the Green Line and in occupied Jerusalem.

On the other hand, al-Mudalal called on PA security forces to release all Palestinian political prisoners and to stop its security coordination with the Israeli occupation.

He also slammed the PA’s continued negotiations with Israel despite its persistent crimes against the Palestinian people. (PIC)
