OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, PALESTINOW.COMThe Israeli police on Saturday attacked Christian citizens in Occupied Jerusalem as they tried to reach the Church of the Holy Sepulchre to celebrate the Great Sabbath.

Jerusalemite sources reported that the occupation police assaulted the citizens and prevented them, including several nuns, from accessing the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.

The occupation targets Jerusalemites, regardless of their religion, and seeks to change the fait accompli in the holy sites and religious rituals according to the wishes of the Jews.

The attacks of the occupation and settlers have recently escalated, as happened in the Bab al-Amud and attacks against young men there, in addition to the restrictions in all neighborhoods and gates of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

During the month of Ramadan, the occupation impedes the arrival of Muslims, especially residents of the West Bank to the Al-Aqsa Mosque to perform the prayers there.
