Israel shoots down Hamas drone


GAZA, PALESTINOW.COM — An Israeli fighter jet on Thursday shot down a drone belonging to Hamas Movement that had taken off from the Gaza Strip, Israeli army said. The drone fell into the Mediterranean Sea.

The spokesman of the Israeli army, Avijaa Adraei, said in a statement on Facebook, that Israeli army will not allow infiltration into Israeli airspace and will handle such cases firmly.

Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas Movement, declared during 2008-2009 Israeli aggression on Gaza manufacturing armed drones called Ababil 1. Three types were then produced: A1A for exploratory missions and both of A1B and A1C for attacking missions. (PIC)
