PCHR: “IOF raid on Al-Aqsa Mosque, 153 Palestinians injured, including 3 journalists and 3 paramedics and at least 400 arrested”

At least 153 Palestinians were injured, including six in critical condition, three journalists and three paramedics, in the Israeli Occupation Forces’ (IOF) raid and extensive Friday dawn attacks on thousands of worshipers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its yards in the occupied East Jerusalem. IOF launched a mass arrest campaign after the break-in at the holy Mosque, in which at least 400 believers were arrested.
According to PCHR investigations, when the gates of the Al-Aqsa Mosque were opened and thousands of devotees arrived for al-Fajr (dawn) prayers on Friday, April 15, 2022, the atmosphere was extremely tense due to the heavy IOF presence in the area, and on the rooftops at the gates of al-Silsilah and al-Mgharba.

Israeli soldiers kidnap two Palestinians, injure several others, in Hebron and Bethlehem

Israeli soldiers on Friday kidnapped two Palestinians and injured several others, including one who was shot at live, in Bethlehem and Hebron, in the occupied West Bank.
In the southern part of the West Bank, media sources in Hebron said the soldiers kidnapped two young men, Yousef al-Azza and Abdullah Abu Aidha, in the Tal Romeida neighborhood in the center of the city.
The soldiers also detained some Palestinians for several hours during a provocative procession by illegal Israeli settlers in the area.

Soldiers wound dozens of Palestinians in Hebron and Nablus

On Friday, Israeli soldiers shot at least one Palestinian with live ammunition and caused dozens of victims by inhaling tear gas in the Bab az-Zawiya area of central Hebron, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank. The army also injured many Palestinians in Beita and Beit Dajan, near Nablus, in the northern part of the West Bank.
Media sources said the soldiers stationed at the permanent military roadblock at the entrance to Shuhada Street invaded Hebron city center, especially Ziqaq al-Emyan Street and Bab az-Zawiya attacked many Palestinians to force them to leave the area.

Israeli soldiers injure many Palestinians in Nabi Saleh

On Friday, Israeli soldiers shot four Palestinians with sharp rubber-coated steel bullets and left dozens of Palestinians suffering the effects of tear gas inhalation in the village of Nabi Saleh, northwest of Ramallah, in the central West Bank.
Local sources said the Palestinians marched nonviolently to the main gate of the village before soldiers attacked them and fired live ammunition, including expanding bullets, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs and concussion grenades.

Israeli army injures many Palestinians in Kufur Qaddoum

On Friday, Israeli soldiers attacked the weekly demonstration in Kufur Qaddoum, east of the northern West Bank town of Qalqilya, injuring dozens.
Morad Eshteiwi, the media spokesman for the People’s Committee in Kufur Qaddoum, said Palestinians marched from the center of the city, carrying Palestinian flags and chanting against the seriously escalating Israeli violations.
Eshteiwi added that the soldiers attacked the demonstration before several young men threw rocks at the soldiers.
The army shot three young men with rubber-coated steel bullets and caused dozens of residents to suffer the consequences of inhaling tear gas.

Israeli soldiers wound two Palestinians, kidnap two, in Jerusalem

Israeli soldiers injured and kidnapped two Palestinians Friday night, including one of the wounded, in Abu Dis and Shu’fat, in occupied Jerusalem.
Eyewitnesses said the soldiers raided the city of Abu Dis, east of Jerusalem, sparking protests, before shooting a young man with live ammunition and kidnapping him.
In addition, the soldiers attacked and machete a young Palestinian, Hashem Riyad Thiab, after stopping him at the military roadblock near Shu’fat, north of Jerusalem.

Soldiers shoot Palestinian child near Ramallah

Israeli soldiers shot a Palestinian child near the village of Abwein, north of the central city of Ramallah in the West Bank, on Thursday evening.
Local sources said the soldiers invaded the main road to the nearby village of Sinjil and attacked many Palestinians protesting the invasion.
The sources added that the soldiers fired many sharp bullets, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs and concussion grenades at the Palestinians.

Palestinian child dies of serious injuries in Jenin

The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed Friday morning the death of a Palestinian child from the village of Kafr Dan, northwest of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, who was shot and critically wounded by Israeli soldiers on Thursday.
The Health Ministry said the child, Shawkat Kamal ‘Aabed, 17, was shot with a bullet and rushed to Ibn Sina Specialized Hospital in Jenin, where he succumbed to serious injuries.
Dozens of Palestinians amid ongoing Israeli invasions of Jenin Governorate, some remain in critical conditions.
