Indonesian NGO to send humanitarian ship for Palestine

CENTRAL JAVA, PALESTINOW.COM — Although there is a distance of approximately 10,695 km by sea from Indonesia to Palestine, does not mean the trip was undone. It’s about the journey of humanity, about the unusual cruise.

Insan Nurrohman as Vice President of Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) said that this special voyage will insha Allah bring 10 thousand tons of rice aid from Indonesia. The voyage will commence on 21st February (21/2), starting from Petikemas Surabaya, Port of Tanjung Perak.

“ACT became the initiator. The Humanitarian Ship for Palestine gradually over the next 6 months will bring concrete help from Indonesia. The aid is expected to enter through Gaza, including additional options through the West Bank or Jerusalem,” said Insan in a Palestinian Humanitarian Ship’s press conference at ACT’s Cilandak office in South Jakarta on Wednesday (10/1).

However, before embarking on a special vessel for the Humanitarian Ship for Palestine, there will be a prologue story about the procurement of rice and the meandering of the land transportation routes that will be pursued.

Just imagine, for a total of 10,000 tons of rice or equal to 10,000,000 kg of rice, that means it needs at least 400,000 bags of rice each measuring 25 kg. Insan said, the rice sacks will then be put into containers of 20 feet in length with a carrying capacity of 25 tons per container. “It means that if in one transport, God willing, rice that will be sent to the Palestinian people of Indonesia can reach 400 container units,” said Insan.
