JAKARTA, PALESTINOW.COM – The Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation (BKSAP) of the Indonesian House of Representatives urged the government to make an international boycott movement against Israeli occupation which plans to carry out the Donald Trump’s proposal “Deal of the Century” through the Gaza Strip blockade, the occupied AL-Aqsa , and the annexation of more than 30 percent of the West Bank.

“I urge the Indonesian government to initiate an international boycott movement in global forums against Israel that plans to accelerate the “Deal of the Century”,” said Deputy Chairman of BKSAP the Indonesian Parliamentary Representative Council, Mardani Ali Sera.

The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) politician considered that Trump’s proposal could damage security and peace stability between Palestine and Israel. This could heat up the temperatures of countries in the Middle East. He revealed that Israel would not only annex the West Bank, but also the Jordan Valley for the construction of illegal settlements.

He appreciated the government through the Ministry of Foreign which had written to 30 countries. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs invited other countries to reject Israel’s plans to annex Palestinian territories.

“The response was extraordinary, but I hope the government should not be limited to this extent. The government must create the real movement of nations to break relations with Israel through diplomacy, economics, technology, and so on, “said Mardani.

He asked the entire community to help the struggle of the Palestinian people who are being oppressed by Israel and its allies. “Let us increase our efforts through prayers and treasures so that Allah SWT gives Palestinian independence from the modern occupation of Israel and its allies,” he said.

Earlier, Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh sent a letter to Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Haniyeh informed about the territorial annexation that continued by Israel in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
