WASHINGTON, PALESTINOW.COM — The Internet Movie Database(IMDb) owned by an Amazon daughter company, reported the film star Natalie Portman as having been born in “occupied Palestine.”
Actress Natalie Portman, who is Jewish, was reported on IMDb as having been born in Jerusalem “Palestine”.
Furthermore, IMDb described Portman’s family as having left “occupied Palestine” when Natalie was four-years-old.
IMDb, however, changed the location to ‘Israel’ after Honest Reporting(HR) alarted it, claiming it was born in ‘Israel’ not occupied Palestine.

IMDb contains millions of entries about films, television shows and video games and most content is offered by its readers. Data is reviewed by editors but the wrong representation of the famous actress was somehow able to pass.
Portman, however, had several stances against Netanyahu’s government.
In April 2018, the Hollywood star announced that she would not come to ‘Israel’ to accept the Genesis Prize (a $1 million award given annually to Jewish people who have attained recognition and excellence in their fields).
“Recent events in Israel have been extremely distressing to her and she does not feel comfortable participating in any public events in Israel,” her representative said at the time.
She wrote that she “did not want to appear as endorsing [Israeli Prime Minister] Benjamin Netanyahu” in an Instagram post explaining her decision.
“Like many Israelis and Jews around the world, I can be critical of the leadership in Israel without wanting to boycott the entire nation,” she added.
“The mistreatment of those suffering from today’s atrocities is simply not in line with my Jewish values.”
She also slammed Israel’s nation-state law as “racist” and a “mistake”.
The law was passed in 2018 and declared that only Jews have the right of self-determination in the country. Its clauses enshrine in law the creation of Jewish-only settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories “as a national value”. Critics of the legislation have argued that it cements Israel’s status as an apartheid state.
