AMMAN, PALESTINOW.COM — Hundreds of Jordanians took part in the funeral of Sami Abu Diyak, a Palestinian-Jordanian political prisoner who died in Israeli jails ten days ago, on Sunday in Amman City.
Abu Diyak, who was suffering from cancer and other health problems, was exposed to deliberate medical negligence by the Israel Prison Service.
In his last days, the Israel Prison Service rejected his request to let him go and die “in his mother’s arms.”
Abu Diyak’s mother, in press statements on Sunday, thanked the Jordanian government for its efforts to bring her son’s body to Jordan for burial.
Abu Diyak’s death brought the number of Palestinians who died while in Israeli custody since 1967 to 222.
