GAZA, PALESTINOW.COM — Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya has congratulated the Palestinian people at home and abroad and the Arab and Muslim nations on Eid al-Fitr, wishing them a happy holiday.
“It is my first Eid away from my beloved homeland. I pay tribute to our Palestinian people at home and abroad and I’d like to congratulate them on Eid al-Fitr, which marks our completion of the fasting obligation during the holy month of Ramadan,” Haneyya stated in remarks on Sunday.
He paid special tribute to the steadfast people of Jerusalem and applauded their keenness on defending their holy city and the Aqsa Mosque.
The Hamas leader also extolled the West Bank people’s steadfastness in the face of unprecedented dangerous challenges and their struggle to remove the occupation and liberate their land.
