ISTANBUL, PALESTINOW.COM Former head of Hamas’s political bureau Khaled Mishaal has accused the US administration and Israel of attempting to lure some regional countries into accepting their vision for the deal of the century, which he said is aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause.

Mishaal made his remarks on Saturday during a meeting held by the friends of Palestine, a group of Turkish lawmakers, at the municipal headquarters of the Eyup district in Istanbul.

The former Hamas chief said that some countries feel disturbed by the position of Turkey and other countries against the deal of the century.

“The Zionist entity is disturbed when a large country like Turkey stand by the Palestinian people, so Israeli leaders do not stop criticizing Turkey and its leadership,” Mishaal said.

He affirmed that Israel’s recent bombing of the Anadolu agency’s office in Gaza happened because of Turkey’s supportive position towards the Palestinians.

He emphasized that American deal of the century would not succeed even if it was approved by other leaders in the region because the Palestinian people and their leadership are united against it.
