Extremist settlers assault Palestinian elderly man near Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, PALESTINOW.COMIsraeli settlers, today, assaulted an elderly Palestinian man as he tried to prevent them from stealing olives in the village of Jaba’a, to the south of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank.

Hasan Breijieh, a local anti-settlement activist, told WAFA that settlers from the illegal Israeli settlement of Bat Ayin assaulted Fadel Hamdan, a man in his 70s, as he confronted them for stealing an olive harvest which belongs to local Palestinian villages.

The elderly was moved to the Beit Jala hospital, where his condition was reported to be moderate.
