RAMALLAH, PALESTINOW.COM — Palestinian Prisoner Society on Wednesday said that there are three Palestinian detainees on open hunger strike in Israeli lock-ups.
According to a statement by Palestinian Prisoner Society, Emran al-Khatib, 60, has been on hunger strike for 39 days now in demand of his release.
Al-Khatib, from the Gaza Strip, is sentenced to life imprisonment and 12 years in jail.
Jamal Alqam, a resident of Bethlehem who had spent about 13 years in Israeli jails, started a hunger strike 15 days ago in protest at his administrative detention.
A resident of the West Bank city of Jenin, Khader Adnan started an open hunger strike 11 days ago in protest at his arbitrary detention. Adnan had previously waged several hunger strikes against his administrative detention in Israeli jails. (PIC)
