“After blocking worshipers inside the Mosque, the Israeli soldiers violently beat them and fired rubber-coated steel bullets and tear gas canisters at them,” Kiswani said

Israeli occupation forces attacked on Sunday Palestinian worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque, wounded six and arrested 11 others.

The attack started as the Israeli occupation forces attempted to clear certain locations of the sanctity yards of Al-Aqsa Mosque to let the extremist Jewish settlers have a tour around the Islamic holy site.

While much restrictions put on the Palestinian Muslim worshipers who want to perform prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Israeli Jewish settlers are given full free access to the Mosque.

At least six Palestinian worshipers were wounded from the Israeli police beating, several others suffered from pepper spray and tear gas inhalation and 11 others were kidnapped from the compound.

Director of Al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Omar Kiswani said that some 250 Israeli occupation soldiers had stormed the Mosque through the Moroccan Gate and secured entry of “Israeli Jewish settlers” to enter.

Israeli occupation forces stationed at the doors of Al-Qibli Mosque, the main and largest prayer place, and prevented Muslim worshippers from leaving the building.

“Then, they began violently beating the worshipers inside the Mosque and fired rubber-coated steel bullets and tear gas canisters at them,” Kiswani said.

He noted that Israeli violence against the Palestinian Muslim worshippers and the restrictions put on their movement are still continuous.
