Erdogan warns Trump over Al-Quds

ANKARA, PALESTINOW.COM — Turkey’s president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has warned it could sever ties with Israel if the US recognizes Al-Quds as its capital, saying such a move would cross a “red line” for Muslims.

In a televised speech, Erdogan addressed the US president directly, saying “Mr Trump! Jerusalem is a red line for Muslims.”

“We could go as far as cutting diplomatic ties with Israel over the issue,” he added.

Earlier on Monday, Trump administration announced that it has not reached a decision yet on whether or not to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, despite the fact that the legal deadline for signing a presidential waiver on the matter was about to expire.

An announcement on the decision will be made “in coming days,” White House spokesman Hogan Gidley told reporters aboard Air Force One as Trump was returning from a trip to Utah. (PIC)
